Nope, heard of a Stanley boy dying in Clintwood.
Yeah I heard about it today, he was crushed. apparently when the elevator goes up it goes to the top....touches the ceiling, there are two beams you have to stay under. Tragic.
I was married by a judge. I should have asked for a jury.
Does anyone know the name and whether it was a school maintenance man or a contract worker. I have a customer from Big Stone that does elevator repair work.

In the paper today, it said it was a guy from Blue Ridge, VA up near Boutetout.

Apparently it was contracted out. From what I can gather it was just routine maintence that the guy had done many times. Nothing out of the ordinary at all.

What a way to go. Find the power sources, disable them, lock them down/out, write what you are doing on the tag, still sometimes it isn't enough. Wonder how much training he had? You get bored in the safety classes, but you never get enough, I guess. And I'll bet it turns out he gets blamed for the accident.
I would venture to say your right spuds. The big question is whether he controlled the action, or if he had an assistant. This could get very interesting come time for the report on the investigation.

I dont know if the information is just sealed up or if people really dont know what happened but I have heard absolutely no details about what happened.
